Concept Art Revisited

Over the past two months, as I've mentioned, I've been working on a tutorial for 3d studio max. For anyone that doesn't know, Maya and Max are two computer programs that develop computer generated 3d graphics. Maya is used to create ALL of Pixar's movies. Max is used for mostly gaming.

Well, I've finished the modeling on a Warhammer 40K Dreadnought and I thought I would share. Also, if anyone has any inclination to learn how to use these programs, the site has FREE tutorials as well as more complete paid for sets.

Without further ado

I'm impressed.  You had said you were an amateur, so I was expecting something altogether rougher.  The detail is quite good, especially the feet and the guns.  You've got quite a bit of talent.

Thanks CR. I attribute most of the modeling to the author of those tutorials. The most I can say I did was pay attention to the proportions and do as he did. I'm gonna work on those textures or colors, until my APU set shows up and then it's all Matrixy.

Do you mean rougher as in my writing? =)

Ha!  No, you had said your 3D modeling work was as rough as some of the stuff posted on DeviantArt.  I was expecting that caliber of work from you--you certainly have more skill than many of the artists who post there.
